7748 Hawthorn Trl NW

This is no ordinary cabin! 7748 Hawthorn Trail NW in Walker, MN is a gorgeous lake home, constructed in 2005 with all of the quality and amenities you would expect from modern upper-bracket construction. Walkout rambler design provides the great-room concept and open feel that today’s buyer loves. Large center-island kitchen is the focal point of the main level and surrounded by open, vaulted living and dining space. The layout makes this lake home great for entertaining. Of course like any fine waterfront property, 7748 Hawthorne is laid out so you’ll enjoy picturesque views from almost every room in the house. The home has end of the road privacy in a quality neighborhood and is in “move-in perfect” condition.
All of this sits beautifully on 1.3 acres and 197 feet of rocky Leech Lake shoreline. The rock-wrapped shore quickly transitions to an excellent sandy swimming bottom just a few feet from shore. Adjacent we have an additional 600 feet of beautiful sand beach shoreline available. When purchased together with the home, the result is a rare opportunity to own a legacy property. You can find 7748 Hawthorne located on the southeast shoreline of the “big lake” side of Leech Lake. A deeded covered boat slip in the nearby protected harbor is a real added bonus.
At over 112,000 acres, Leech Lakeis the third largest body of water in Minnesota and is well known as one of the state’s premier walleye and muskie fisheries. This pristine body of water reaches 150 feet deep and is surrounded by national forest, equating to woods and water as far as the eye can see on the majority of the lake. Approximately 65% of the shoreline is government land. Don’t expect this lake to get “busy” on the weekends the way other Minnesota lakes do. In fact, the low traffic and the size of the lake makes it a favorite choice for Minnesota lake shore buyers who are looking for a place to land and dock their seaplanes. Sailboat enthusiasts also hold a special appreciation for the enormity of Leech Lake.
Walker, MNhas many activities to offer. Besides great fishing and every on-the-water activity imaginable, the family can enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, and great small-town shopping in quaint downtown Walker. Or hit Charlie’s Up North for dinner, and maybe a short visit to Northern Lights Casino if you’re the type. Walker and the surrounding area is rich in Minnesota history as well.

How do I break up with her?

Currently I am in a two year relationship and we’re both fed up. I see her every weekend and am very fortunate to be in that situation. However, she lives at school an hour and a half away. She has to come home to see me on the weekends because I am currently pressed for money due to my own schooling situation. She lectures me all the time on how I need to grow up, stop working at a golf course, (I’m in school to become a PGA Professional.) I need that job to stay established in the golf world while I’m in school.

She gets incredibly upset that I cannot go out and see her at school. I have schooling of my own and other things to worry about. She takes the bus home to see me. So we fight a lot and she uses her ability to see me against me. I also do not write on her facebook wall as much as I used to, and that creates problems. I just don’t use facebook anymore!

Our fights are endless and we can’t seem to work them out. Right now she’s basically giving me the silent treatment. I have had enough of really giving her my all (given my current situation.) and having her not appreciate it or thank me for the things I do for her.

She treats me as though she’s my mother. And I’m frustrated and done. I have felt like this in the past and have been unable to break up with her. (She cries and I just don’t like that)

How do I man up and get this done? Also, what do you think of our relationship?

Thanks.

First sit down and figure out what you want to tell her. Then sit down with her and tell her and break up. There will never be a good time and she will most likely cry but do not allow that to change your mind. You are not responsible for her reaction. Keep in mind there are really bad times such as if her dog just died or something but generally a clean break is best. If she runs out and refuses to listen send her a letter via snail mail or e-mail so you have told her how you feel and you can have closure.

Your relationship sounds very much like my relationship in college. He was 200 miles away at college and I was young and immature and tended to mother. I learned a lot from it and eventually grew up. At the time it seemed like the end of the world when we broke up but eventually we both moved on and found awesome mates.

Right now you need to focus on your work and school and she needs to focus on her education.

Should I still be with him? Short and accurate version.?

this guy and me had been together for over 5 months. He was amazing at first, but recently i didn’t feel that he cared about me. We only got to see each other once a week and I always had to go meet him places. also, we are about the same age. He is really into golf and I always felt like he cared more about that than me. The thought of him not caring about me was only confirmed when he did not tell me happy birthday on my birthday. He nonchalantly texted me for a while and then stoped. Late at night he asked if I had a good birthday. I remember him saying b4 that if he didn’t remember my bday he knew I’d break up with him. So, I thought he wanted me to, even though I knew he remembered. I really didn’t think he cared about me at all and I was extremely hurt. I broke up with him the next night after we had fought about it on my bday. He knew I was going to leave him had to have, but didn’t call or text or anything. I called him at 10:00 at night and told him we were no longer together and he just said ok. That really hurt bc I knew he didn’t care at all and it sounded like both of us needed to move on. But yesterday his sis, him, and me had an im convo about it. I guess he was really hurt that we broke up and he said ok because "he had no idea what to say when i said that cause he likes me so much and he did not want it to end and he did not want to make it any worse" Do you think I should’ve broken up with him?
also we never said " i love you" to each other. thought i’d add that bc 1 answerer said something about that.

If he acted like that….yes you should of, not saying that yall can’t work things out but if he wants to be apart of your life he gotta act better then that.If he can’t or won’t some one else will come along and do it. I don’t care what he was doing, he could not of been to busy to tell his girl happy birthday and you always have to meet him places….dude was not acting like a TRUE boyfriend.

Blues 101????

Blues 101

If you are new to Blues music, or like it but never really understood the whys and wherefores, here are some very fundamental rules:

1. Most Blues begin with: "Woke up this morning…."

2. "I got a good woman" is a bad way to begin the Blues, unless you stick
something nasty in the next line like, "I got a good woman, with the
meanest face in town."

3. The Blues are simple. After you get the first line right, repeat it. Then
find something that rhymes – sort of: "Got a good woman with the meanest
face in town. Yes, I got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Got
teeth like Margaret Thatcher and she weigh 500 pound."

4. The Blues is not about choice. You stuck in a ditch, you stuck in a ditch…ain’t no way out.

5. Blues cars: Chevys, Fords, Cadillacs and broken-down trucks. Blues don’t travel in Volvos, BMWs, or Sport Utility Vehicles. Most Blues transportation is a Greyhound bus or a southbound train. Jet aircraft and state-sponsored motor pools ain’t even in the running. Walkin’ plays a major part in the Blues lifestyle. So does fixin’ to die.

6. Teenagers can’t sing the Blues. They ain’t fixin’ to die yet. Adults sing the Blues. In Blues, "adulthood" means being old enough to get the electric chair if you shoot a man in Memphis.

7. Blues can take place in New York City but not in Hawaii, the Hamptons or anywhere in Canada. Hard times in Minneapolis or Seattle is probably just clinical depression. Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City are still the best places to have the Blues. You cannot have the Blues in any place that don’t get no rain.

8. A man with male pattern baldness ain’t the Blues. A woman with male pattern baldness is.. Breaking your leg ’cause you were skiing is not the Blues. Breaking your leg ’cause a alligator be chomping on it is.

9. You can’t have no Blues in an office or a shopping mall. The lighting is wrong. Go outside to the parking lot or sit by the dumpster.

10. Good places for the Blues: a. highway b.jailhouse c.empty bed d. bottom of a whiskey glass

11. Bad places for the Blues: a. Nordstrom’s b. gallery openings c. Ivy League institutions d. golf courses

12. No one will believe it’s the Blues if you wear a suit, ‘less you happen to be an old person, and you slept in it.

13. Do you have the right to sing the Blues? Yes, if: a. you’re older than dirt b. you’re blind c. you shot a man in Memphis d. you can’t be satisfied

No, if a. you have all your teeth b. you were once blind but now can see c.the man in Memphis lived d. you have a 401K or trust fund

14. Blues is not a matter of color. It’s a matter of bad luck. Tiger Woods cannot sing the Blues. Sonny Liston could have. Ugly white people also got a leg up on the Blues.

15. If you ask for water and your darlin’ gives you gasoline, it’s the Blues. Other acceptable Blues beverages are: a cheap wine b.whiskey or bourbon c. muddy water d. black coffee The following are NOT Blues beverages: a. Perrier b.Chardonnay c.Snapple d. Slim Fast

16. If death occurs in a cheap motel or a shotgun shack, it’s a Blues death.
Stabbed in the back by a jealous lover is another Blues way to die. So are
the electric chair, substance abuse and dying lonely on a broken-down cot.
You can’t have a Blues death if you die during a tennis match or while
getting liposuction.

17. Some Blues names for women: a. Sadie b. Big Mama c. Bessie
d. Fat River Dumpling

18. Some Blues names for men: a. Joe b. Willie c. Little Willie d. Big Willie e. Brotha Ken

19. Persons with names like Michelle, Amber, Jennifer, Debbie, and Heather
can’t sing the Blues no matter how many men they shoot in Memphis.

20. Blues Name Starter Kit: a. name of physical infirmity (Blind, Mute,
Lame, etc.) b. first name (see above) plus name of fruit (Lemon, Lime,
Kiwi, etc.) c. last name of President (Jefferson, Johnson, Fillmore, Clinton,
etc.) For example: Blind Lime Jefferson, Pegleg Lemon Johnson or Lame Kiwi Clinton, etc. (Well, maybe not "Kiwi.")

21. I don’t care how tragic your life is: if you own a computer, you cannot
sing the blues, period. Sorry!

This is great… but I think you left out one.
When youse finds out that yo’ main squeeze has been out with yo’ bestest friend and youse go’s out bar-hoppin’ and gets low-down, commode-huggin’ drunk.

Or, if youse the one doin’ the thang… you might say:
Hurry up and give me my running shoes… I’m being chased by a jealous husband and I ain’t got no time to lose.

Or, Quick, give me a shot of whiskey and a shot of gin…
I gotta long way to go and a short while to cut it in.

There are others, but you being a blues man, I’m sure you’ve heard them. Have a great day… and UP with the Blues.
